The Company wishes to inform the shareholders and potential investors of the Company that based on its preliminary review of the relevant financial statements of the Group it is expected that the unaudited loss attributable to equity holders of the Group for the six months ended 30 June 2024 would be approximately RMB2000 million.Shareholders and potential investors of the Company are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the shares of the Company.China National Building Material Company Limited* (the “Company”) wishes to inform the shareholders and potential investors of the Company that based on its preliminary review of the relevant financial statements of the Company and its subsidiaries (the “Group”) it is expected that the unaudited loss attributable to equity holders of the Group for the six months ended 30 June 2024 would be approximately RMB2000 million whereas the profit attributable to equity holders of the Group for the six months ended 30 June 2023 was approximately RMB1404 million. The above expected decrease is mainly attributable to the decrease in sales prices of cement commercial concrete and glass fibre (being the major products of the Group) the decrease in sales volumes of cement and commercial concrete and the decline in performance attributed by the associates although part of which has been offset by the decrease in cost of sales of cement and commercial concrete.- 1 -This announcement is only based on the preliminary assessment of the unaudited information currently available to the Company. The results of the Group for the six months ended 30 June 2024 (the “2024 Interim Results”) have not yet been finalised as at the date of this announcement. The actual results of the Group for the six months ended 30 June 2024 may be different from what is indicated in this announcement.
